General

What types of businesses do you work with?
We specialize in medical practices—nephrology, ophthalmology, primary care, and specialty clinics. We also work with businesses outside healthcare that share similar values around data security and reliability, including architecture firms, professional services, and nonprofits.
Where are you located?
We're based in Metro Atlanta, Georgia. We provide on-site support throughout the Atlanta area and remote support nationwide.
How is MedTech different from larger IT companies?
We're small enough to know your name and your systems, but experienced enough to handle complex healthcare IT environments. When you call, you get a real person who knows your practice—not a ticket queue.
Do you require long-term contracts?
We offer flexible arrangements. While we recommend managed service agreements for the best support experience, we don't lock you into lengthy contracts. We earn your business month after month.

IT Services

What's included in managed IT support?
Our managed IT includes 24/7 monitoring, help desk support, patch management, security updates, vendor coordination, backup monitoring, and strategic planning. We handle the day-to-day so you can focus on patients.
Are your IT services HIPAA compliant?
Absolutely. HIPAA compliance is built into everything we do. We provide risk assessments, encrypted communications, access controls, audit logging, and Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) for all clients handling protected health information.
Can you support our existing systems?
Yes. We work with all major EHR/EMR systems, practice management software, and standard business applications. We'll assess your current environment and support what you have while recommending improvements where they make sense.
What happens if something breaks after hours?
Critical issues don't wait for business hours, and neither do we. Our emergency support line is available 24/7 for system outages, security incidents, or anything preventing patient care.

AI Services

What can AI actually do for my medical practice?
AI can handle many repetitive, time-consuming tasks. Chatbots answer common questions like hours, insurance, and policies—24/7. Workflow automation can process documents, route faxes, generate referral letters, and handle prior authorizations. The common thread: repetitive, rule-based tasks that currently eat up staff time.
Is AI safe to use with patient data?
It depends entirely on the implementation. Consumer AI tools like free ChatGPT are NOT appropriate for patient data. We use HIPAA-compliant vendors with proper Business Associate Agreements, encryption, access controls, and audit logging. Our chatbots provide practice information only and don't collect PHI. We build compliance into every AI solution from day one.
Will AI replace my staff?
No—and that's not the goal. AI handles tedious, repetitive tasks so your staff can focus on work that requires human judgment, empathy, and expertise. The practices we work with use AI to make their existing team more effective, not smaller.
How much does AI implementation cost?
Costs vary depending on scope. Simple chatbot implementations might start in the low thousands, while complex custom development projects can be significantly more. We provide clear pricing during the assessment phase before any work begins.
Can I use ChatGPT or other free AI tools in my practice?
Not with any patient information. Free consumer AI tools don't meet HIPAA requirements—they don't sign BAAs, and your data may be used to train their models. Using them with PHI could expose your practice to serious liability. We help practices implement AI tools that are actually appropriate for healthcare.

VoIP Phone Systems

What is VoIP and how is it different from traditional phones?
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) routes calls over your internet connection instead of traditional phone lines. This means lower costs, more features, and the flexibility to take your business line anywhere via mobile apps.
Will VoIP work with my internet connection?
Most modern business internet connections support VoIP without issues. We'll assess your bandwidth and network quality before installation to ensure call quality meets professional standards.
Can I keep my existing phone numbers?
Yes. We port your existing numbers to the new system so your patients and contacts don't need to update their records.
How much can I save by switching to VoIP?
Most practices save 30-50% compared to traditional phone systems. The exact savings depend on your current setup, but we'll provide a detailed comparison before you commit.

Marketing Services

Do you specialize in healthcare marketing?
Yes. We understand the unique requirements of marketing medical practices—from HIPAA considerations in advertising to the nuances of patient acquisition. We have deep expertise in nephrology and eye care marketing specifically.
How long before I see results from SEO?
SEO is a long-term investment. Most practices begin seeing meaningful improvements in search rankings within 3-6 months, with results compounding over time. We provide monthly reports so you can track progress.
Can you help with our Google Business Profile?
Yes. Optimizing your Google Business Profile is one of the most impactful things we do for local visibility. We handle setup, optimization, review management, and ongoing updates.
Do you manage Google Ads or just SEO?
We do both. SEO builds long-term organic visibility, while Google Ads (PPC) delivers immediate traffic for specific services. Many practices benefit from a combination—ads for high-value procedures like LASIK or new patient acquisition, and SEO for sustainable growth.
Can you help us get more online reviews?
Yes. We implement review generation systems that make it easy for satisfied patients to leave reviews at the right time. We also help with review monitoring and response strategies. More positive reviews improve your local search rankings and build trust with prospective patients.

Web Services

How long does it take to build a new website?
A typical practice website takes 6-10 weeks from kickoff to launch. More complex sites with patient portals or custom functionality may take longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline during our discovery process.
Do you provide website hosting?
Yes. We offer secure, managed hosting with SSL certificates, daily backups, security monitoring, and performance optimization. We handle the technical details so your site stays fast and secure.
Can you update our existing website?
Usually, yes. We can update content, improve design, add features, or improve performance on most existing sites. If your current platform is limiting or outdated, we may recommend a rebuild instead.
Will our website be ADA accessible?
Yes. We build websites following WCAG accessibility guidelines. This ensures patients with disabilities can use your site and helps protect your practice from ADA-related legal issues, which have become increasingly common for healthcare websites.
Do we own our website?
Yes. You own your website, your content, and your domain. We don't hold your site hostage or make it difficult to leave. If you ever decide to move on, we'll help with the transition.
